The Houston Texans are dealing with more distressing news this offseason involving one of their players.
Darius Anderson, a former TCU running back who currently plays as a reserve for the Houston Texans, has found himself in legal trouble that could jeopardize his career.
Reports indicate that Anderson was arrested early Friday morning in the Museum District neighborhood of Houston on a charge of burglary with intent to rape. According to a complaint, a woman alleged that Anderson forced his way into her home, causing her to fall on a staircase. She further claimed that Anderson chased her through the house, and she had to grab a gun from a coffee table to prevent him from accessing it, although she did not aim or shoot the weapon.
Following the arrest, Anderson, aged 24, has been instructed not to visit the alleged victim’s home or possess a firearm.
In response to the situation, the Texans issued a statement acknowledging the report involving Anderson and mentioned that they are currently gathering information but have no further comments at this time.
Anderson began his NFL journey as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020. After being released by the Colts during training camp, he signed a futures deal with the Texans this offseason.
