# Quarterback Jaden Rashada Turns Down Millions For Agreeing To To Mega NIL Contract With Miami
Quarterback Jaden Rashada, ranked No. 22 in the ESPN 300 Class of 2023, chose Miami over offers from LSU, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas A&M. He is set to earn significantly as he joins the Miami Hurricanes football program.
Jeremy Crabtree of On3 reported the 4-star prospect agreed to a $9.5 million name, image and likeness deal with Miami booster John Ruiz while turning down an $11 million offer from Florida’s Gator Collective.
“Jaden left millions on the table,” said Michael W. Caspino, an NIL lawyer. He mentioned that Rashada chose Miami because of his love for the university, coaches, and the opportunity it presented.
Caspino also criticized Florida’s NIL collective, calling it dysfunctional in college football’s new era.
Rashada, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound quarterback from Pittsburg High School in California, is the fourth ESPN 300 quarterback to commit to Miami since 2020.
In his sophomore year in 2021, Rashada threw for 2,220 yards, had 27 touchdown passes, rushed for 193 yards, and scored once on the ground.
Rashada addressed the situation through a Twitter post.
