Mike Tyson is starting to entertain the idea of stepping into the ring with Jake Paul.

The iconic boxer mentioned on Joe Rogan’s podcast that he would be open to challenging the YouTuber-turned-boxer in an exhibition match with the goal of surpassing the pay-per-view record set by Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in 2015, which stands at 4.6 million.

When asked if he would fight Paul, Tyson enthusiastically responded, “Hell yeah, only to break the record. Let’s do it Jakey, God, wouldn’t that be cool?”

Tyson expressed his admiration for Paul’s ability to draw in an audience, stating, “Jake Paul, believe it or not, is more lucrative than the champions. This guy likely brings around 80 million viewers to the table.”

In November 2020, the 55-year-old engaged in a successful exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr.

Having spent time socializing with Paul, Tyson expressed concern about Paul’s behavior, particularly leading up to a potential fight between the two.

“I worry about him getting into trouble before the fight happens,” Tyson shared. “I’d advise him, ‘Hey man, you’re going to end up in jail for real, chill out.’ This guy’s wild, he might start throwing things at people, like bottles and stuff.”
