Zion Williamson seems to be enjoying the cuisine in the New Orleans area.
Before the New Orleans Pelicans faced off against the New York Knicks, a visibly heavier Zion Williamson was observed running on the court. The young star, who has been sidelined for the first seven games of the 2021 season due to a foot injury, has noticeably put on some weight during the offseason.
Ahead of the Knicks-Pelicans game, fans witnessed Zion making his first appearance on the court this season as he warmed up.
The NBA community on Twitter exploded with comments about his apparent weight gain.
RJ Barrett put on a stellar performance, scoring 35 points, as the Knicks extended their winning streak with a 123-117 victory over the Pelicans.
Hopes are high that Williamson will soon return to the court, shed any extra weight he has gained, and contribute to the struggling Pelicans, who currently hold a 1-6 record.
