Riddick Bowe, aged 54, will not be participating in an upcoming boxing match against former NBA player Lamar Odom as originally planned. The former undisputed heavyweight champion, with a professional record of 43-1 (1 NC), recently shared a concerning training video that led to the decision.
As a result, Bowe will still be involved in the event but not as a boxer.
The Bowe vs. Odom fight is presented by Official Celebrity Boxing and is set to take place on October 2 in Miami, FL.
The commission overseeing this event is the same one that managed the recent Triller fight where Evander Holyfield, aged 58, suffered a quick standing TKO loss to former UFC champion Vitor Belfort.
Lamar Odom’s participation in the October 2 event remains, with a new opponent yet to be confirmed.
