Jordan Yamamoto expresses frustration with fans.

During his Mets debut, Jordan Yamamoto had to exit the game due to right shoulder soreness after pitching four innings and allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits.

Yet, Yamamoto is more disturbed by a different issue, taking to Twitter to address the Mets’ fan base for harassing his wife.

“I know Twitter can be harsh sometimes, and for some of you, trolling may seem entertaining. But targeting my WIFE is unacceptable!” Yamamoto expressed.

“She is not the one on the field or in the uniform!”

“No one should endure that kind of treatment!” Jordan emphasized. “No one.”

His wife responded with the following statement:

“Transitioning from love to hate so swiftly, Mets fans. My phone inundated with hurtful tweets… I want to remind you that we are human. I am a WIFE, supporting my husband through thick and thin. Your passion for the game is admirable, but please maintain respect.”
