College Basketball Player Jeremiah Johnson in Critical Condition After Being Shot Twice

Jeremiah Johnson, a sophomore guard at Putnam North, is currently in critical condition after sustaining two gunshot wounds on Tuesday.

Reports from his mother on Facebook revealed that Johnson underwent surgery to have the two bullets removed. Cameron Jourdan of The Oklahoman first reported the incident, urging for thoughts and prayers for Johnson and his family.

April Woolfolk, Johnson’s mother, shared updates on social media, asking for privacy and prayers from their loved ones during this challenging time. She expressed gratitude for the support of prayer warriors and requested no direct messages for updates while they focus on Johnson’s recovery.

Recently, Jourdan provided a positive update, stating that Johnson has successfully completed surgery and is doing well.

Johnson, a highly sought-after four-star recruit from Oklahoma City, is a standout player for his high school team, averaging over 20 points per game. He is considered one of the top prospects in the state’s 2023 class and ranks among the top 20 players nationally.
