Baker Mayfield, known for his love of throwing in random pop culture references, did not disappoint on Sunday night.

The Cleveland Browns secured a 20-6 win over the Giants, improving their record to an impressive 7-3, a feat not achieved since 1994. In the game, Mayfield showcased his skill with 297 passing yards and two touchdowns.

During a discussion about Colt McCoy, Mayfield drew inspiration from TLC’s 1994 hit song “Waterfalls,” saying, “He’s just going to always have whatever team he’s playing for in the game and so we just have to stay in there and realize that as long as we don’t go chasing waterfalls, we’re going to be in the game.”

In another instance, when asked about Jarvis Landry, Mayfield cleverly referenced TLC’s 1999 track “No Scrubs,” stating, “We don’t want no scrubs. We’ve got some dogs outside. We’ve got some guys that we’re very proud of.”

Additionally, he threw in a reference to TLC’s 1994 chart-topping hit “Creep,” emphasizing resilience by saying, “We’re gonna get knocked back and we’re going to creep, creep back in and overcomes those penalties.”
