Reshad Jones was taken into custody in Florida after law enforcement officers found him carrying a loaded firearm near a gas station in Davie around 4 a.m.

The former standout safety for the Miami Dolphins was seen at gas station parking lots with a gun in his possession as outlined in the arrest record.

Via Sun Sentinel:

“According to Davie police officer Clint Burns, Jones was observed crossing the street with a handgun visible in his right front pants pocket.

The report indicates that Jones was uncooperative with law enforcement, failed to provide a concealed weapons permit, and exhibited signs of being under the influence of an unknown substance with a strong scent of alcohol.

Jones was taken into custody around 4:45 a.m. and charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He is no longer listed as an inmate at Broward County Jail, suggesting that he posted his $1,000 bond.”

His tenure with the Dolphins came to an end when the team released him in March.

He had an impressive 10-year career with the Dolphins, earning two Pro Bowl selections with 21 interceptions, 10 1/2 sacks, and six defensive touchdowns. His four interception returns for touchdowns tie him with Dolphins legend Zach Thomas for the most in team history.
