Lamar Odom has faced numerous challenges following his NBA career, but his latest relationship seemed to bring hope for a positive direction.
Sabrina Parr, Odom’s girlfriend, took to her Instagram story on Wednesday to announce the end of their engagement.
“Y’all know I’m honest and transparent so I have to be the first to let you guys know that I am no longer engaged to Lamar,” Parr shared. “This has been a difficult decision for me to make but it is the best for myself and my children.”
Parr hinted at Odom dealing with personal struggles privately, indicating that he needs help urgently.
“Lamar has somethings that he alone has to work through. I love him dearly but I am no longer able to be by his side while he seeks the help he so desperately needs,” she stated. “I wish him all the best and I am asking that you pray for everyone involved.”
There are concerns that Odom may have reverted to his past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, the same issues that nearly claimed his life in a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel in 2015.
Parr has removed all traces of Odom from her Instagram account, suggesting that their relationship may have come to an end.
