The back-and-forth continued as the Falcons secured another field goal from 37 yards as the first quarter ended, but the Panthers quickly countered with another touchdown early in the second quarter. Atlanta then took control, with a touchdown from Matt Ryan and a 36-yard field goal from Koo before half time, pushing the score to 16-14 in favor of the Falcons.

The third quarter witnessed more action, with another field goal from the Falcons and a 39-yard field goal from Joey Slye for the Panthers narrowing the gap. With just two points separating the teams, the Falcons dominated the final quarter, ultimately clinching the victory.
