San Diego Police Department revealed that Tommy Pham was attacked and left with a significant slash on his back outside a strip club in the Midway District over the weekend.

The San Diego Padres outfielder is expected to recover fully from the stabbing incident where he was assaulted by a group of men outside Pacers Showgirls International.

TMZ Sports obtained footage from that night showing the aftermath, including a fistfight involving others, with Pham nearby in a blood-soaked shirt.

“Pham was seen in a white shirt and red sweatpants. Although the footage doesn’t capture the moment of the stabbing, it reveals the aftermath, showing a major fight with Pham standing close by in a blood-stained shirt. The clip shows the extensive stab wound stretching from hip to hip, causing profuse bleeding.”

Pham was taken to UC San Diego Health for treatment, where he underwent stitches to close the wound.

In a statement, he expressed his gratitude:

“I want to thank the amazing medical team at UC San Diego Health for their care last night. I am grateful for the SDPD’s efforts as they continue their search for the perpetrators. While the experience was traumatic, it has been enlightening. I am recovering well and look forward to returning to my offseason training soon.”
