The San Diego Padres’ season concluded with a 12-3 loss last Thursday to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series.
San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham was involved in an altercation that resulted in him being stabbed in his lower back.
The incident occurred after an argument near his car, and Pham was stabbed when he asked the individuals involved to move.
Fortunately, no organs were harmed, and Pham received stitches to close the wound that penetrated all three skin layers.
Pham expressed his gratitude to the UC San Diego Health medical staff for their care and also thanked the San Diego Police Department for their efforts in finding the suspects. He stated in a release by the team to the San Diego Union-Tribune, “While it was a very traumatic and eye-opening experience for me, I’m on the road to recovery and I know I’ll be back to my offseason training routine in no time.”
