The former Georgetown Hoyas wide receiver, Dijon Williams, who was wanted for first-degree murder in Washington, D.C., has been apprehended in Georgia.

Williams was taken into custody in Gwinnett County following the Metropolitan Police Department’s search for him in connection with a first-degree murder case, as reported by FOX5DC.

Georgetown University has promptly suspended Williams from the football team upon learning of his arrest.

Georgetown’s football season was postponed on July 13 when the Patriot League decided to cancel all fall sports due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Williams had played in 10 games during his freshman year, missed his sophomore season due to injury, and made a return for five games in 2019 as a junior.
