Jacksonville did not manage to outscore the Dolphins in any quarter during Thursday night’s game. Ryan Fitzpatrick was a key player in Miami’s success, contributing to three out of the team’s four touchdowns, leading them to a 31-13 victory over the Jaguars.

Setting a personal record, Fitzpatrick completed all 12 of his initial passes and also made NFL history by becoming the first quarterback to defeat the same opponent six times while playing for six different teams. The Dolphins as a whole had a standout performance, scoring touchdowns on their first three possessions for the first time in nearly ten years.

Miami dominated the first quarter against Jacksonville, scoring two touchdowns while shutting out their opponents. The first touchdown came from a three-yard pass from Fitzpatrick to Preston Williams, followed by a one-yard touchdown run by Jordan Howard.

Although Jacksonville managed to score a touchdown in the second quarter with Robinson’s eleven-yard run, Miami quickly responded with a touchdown of their own as Fitzpatrick connected with Mike Gesicki to maintain their lead. Fitzpatrick added another touchdown in the third quarter, putting the Jaguars in a challenging position as they faced a 21-point deficit that proved too much to overcome.

Despite a touchdown by James Robinson in the final quarter, a missed kick cost Jacksonville a point, and Miami secured the win with a field goal.
