In a spectacular performance at East Lake in Atlanta, Dustin Johnson clinched the Tour Championship title and the grand prize of $15 million. In a thrilling final showdown on Monday, Johnson outpaced his competitors Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas.

With a consistent display of skill, Johnson captured the lead by posting impressive scores of 67, 70, 64, 68, culminating in a final round total of 21 under par to secure the FedEx Cup championship and the substantial eight-figure cash reward. Thomas and Schauffele tied for second place, both recording a total score of 66 in their final rounds to finish 18 under par.

This victory at the Tour Championship marks the fourth consecutive event where Johnson has dominated after 54 holes. He secured a second-place finish in the US PGA Championship, claimed a resounding triumph in the initial play-off event with a remarkable 30 under par score. However, he narrowly missed out on first place in the BMW Championship when Jon Rahm sank a 66-foot putt to finish one under par and walk away with the trophy.

The last golfer to achieve a similar four-tournament winning streak was Tiger Woods, who accomplished this feat in 1999.

During the award ceremony, Johnson expressed, “It means a lot… I’ve been close several times. This time I did control my own destiny. I knew what I had to do.”
