Former MLB Player Mark Grace Apologizes For Referring to His Ex-Wife Inappropriately During Live Telecast

Mark Grace caused a stir on Twitter recently when he made an unexpected appearance during the mid-game broadcast in the Marquee booth.

While working as a studio analyst for the Diamondbacks and being a former first baseman for the Cubs, Grace shared a story during the Chicago vs. Milwaukee game about his ex-wife parking in Bud Selig’s parking spot, repeatedly calling her a “dingbat.”

Following the game, Grace issued an apology for his offensive language. However, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reported that Grace would be taking a break from broadcasting for the next five games.

In his apology, Grace acknowledged his mistake by saying,“During today’s game, I referred to my ex-wife in a way that I absolutely should not have. I want everyone to know how very sorry I am about that. My remarks were offensive and inappropriate, and I deeply apologize.”
