There has been continuous speculation about what the Washington Football Team will be called after their rebranding. Recently, the team hinted at a new nickname in a post on Twitter.
On Monday, Washington shared an “interesting submission” from a fan named Sarah.
The fan’s suggestion was “the Washington Redwolves.”
“…Once I saw it, I fell in love,” the fan expressed. “I really love the idea of the Washington Redwolves. I have been a fan of this team since I was born… and my dad has been a season ticket holder for a while. Can’t wait for what’s next!”
Following the retirement of the Redskins name, the RedWolves moniker quickly gained popularity among fans online.
Some enthusiasts have gone to the extent of designing custom uniforms for the potential new name.
