Critics of Dr. Anthony Fauci found fault with him when cameras captured him at the Washington Nationals vs. New York Yankees game without a mask.
During the Nationals’ opening game against the Yankees, Fauci wore a Nationals-themed mask when he threw the first pitch, which was described as terrible. The team honored him for his efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a shortened baseball season with no audience present.
After his on-field appearance, Fauci was seen in the stands without a mask while sitting close to two other attendees, failing to maintain proper social distancing.
Social media users took aim at Fauci over this.
