Dana White seems to have had enough of Paige VanZant. The UFC President showed little interest in keeping her around after she was swiftly defeated at UFC 251.

After the fight, White compared her to heavyweight Curtis Blaydes, criticizing her for not delivering a strong performance despite her financial demands.

“I like Paige,” White told reporters post UFC 251. “It’s like Blaydes when he last fought. When you complain about not being paid enough, fight inconsistently, only fought once in the last year due to injuries, and then get defeated in the first round, she should definitely explore free agency.”

VanZant was submitted in the opening round by Amanda Ribas at the beginning of Saturday’s pay-per-view event at Yas Island. This fight marked her return after 18 months due to re-injuring her arm during training.

Days before her fight, VanZant expressed her frustrations about her pay, revealing that she earned more from ‘Dancing With The Stars’ than all her UFC fights combined.

Following her defeat, she released a statement congratulating her opponent from Brazil and looking forward to the next chapter in her career.

In the octagon, VanZant’s record stands at 5-4.
