The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly engaging in discussions for a major trade ahead of the NFL Draft, aiming to address their need for improvement at the wide receiver position.
Having clinched the NFC East title in 2019, the Eagles currently hold the No. 21 overall pick in the first round. However, it appears that this spot may not grant them access to the caliber of receiver they desire from a draft class filled with talent.
According to reports originating from Philadelphia, the Eagles are actively exploring options for a substantial trade as they gear up for next week’s draft.
“CeeDee Lamb is the ‘apple of his eye’ for Howie Roseman. Roseman is ‘absolutely in love’ with Lamb. Hearing if that fails or the top 4 wide receivers are off the board, PHI will be looking to trade out of the 21st spot,” Joe Tordy of 97.5 The Fanatic disclosed.
Lamb is anticipated to be one of the top one or two wide receivers selected, alongside elite prospect Jerry Jeudy from Alabama, according to projections.
The Eagles are facing a tight window to make necessary adjustments in preparation for the draft.
