Raheem Sterling, a forward for the England national team, will not be playing for Man City in their match against West Ham this Sunday. This decision comes after he sustained a hamstring injury during City’s recent game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The team has confirmed that Sterling will only be missing the upcoming game, but it is uncertain if he will return for City’s matches against Leicester on the 22nd and Real Madrid on the 26th.
In an official statement on their website, the team announced, “Raheem Sterling will be absent for the West Ham game following scans that revealed a hamstring injury in his left leg.
“He had to leave the Tottenham game early last Sunday and was evaluated at the CFA on Thursday.
“Sterling will be under observation during the winter break. The entire City team wishes him a quick and full recovery.”
