In a post-season statement, Kingsbury praised Fitzgerald’s performance saying, “I think he’s playing as good as anybody, honestly. You watch what he does week-in and week-out, the little things, the blocking and the toughness that he brings to the offensive side of the football. We missed him twice for huge plays yesterday. He’s just still creating separation. He does it all.”

Fitzgerald has been selected to the Pro Bowl eleven times, named NFL Man of the Year, and holds records for most games played, catches, receiving yards, touchdowns, and receiving touchdowns in the Cardinals’ history.

At 36 years old, he achieved 75 receptions for 804 receiving yards and four touchdowns in the 16 games he played in 2019.
