Renowned Saints Coach of New Orleans stirred up attention with his outburst towards a local butcher following a close loss last Sunday to the 49ers, where despite scoring 46 points, they fell short by only two points.

Sean Payton, the coach of the New Orleans Saints, found it challenging to come to terms with the defeat against the 49ers and reportedly vented his frustration on a nearby butcher who questioned the team’s decision-making during the game.

As per a report by Katherine Terrell of The Athletic, the incident occurred when the butcher raised a query about a 2-point conversion play, prompting Payton to sharply respond by advising him to focus on his own business.

“I’ve got the guy at Rouses, or at freaking Whole Foods, asking me about the freaking two-point play. I looked at him, the guy from the meat section. I said. ‘Hey, your steaks don’t look too good right now, worry about your freaking meat.’ Driving me crazy.”

The game had a notable moment in the first quarter when Payton opted for a 2-point conversion. He later attempted a similar play in the 4th quarter to increase the Saints’ lead by 3 points, but both attempts were unsuccessful. These two points could have been crucial had they settled for a field goal instead.

With their current standing as the 3rd seed, the Saints now rely on assistance from the Green Bay Packers to secure a higher position in the rankings.
