Former England captain Charlotte Edwards believes that Ellyse Perry may be the best female cricketer we will ever witness. Edwards praised Perry after she was named the player of the women’s Ashes series, stating that Perry’s skills are only improving with time.

Perry, a 28-year-old Australian, emerged as the top scorer of the series, amassing 378 runs with an impressive average of 94.50, drawing comparisons to the legendary Don Bradman. Initially known for her bowling prowess, Perry has transformed into an exceptional all-rounder, according to Edwards.

Edwards commented, “She’s only 28, it’s quite intimidating to consider what she might accomplish in the upcoming years.”

Edwards, England’s esteemed captain, first encountered Perry in 2008 when Perry was just 17. Over the past 11 years, Perry’s career in women’s cricket has continued to thrive.

England’s coach, Mark Robinson, believes Perry’s physical capabilities contribute to her success. However, Edwards argues that Perry’s fierce competitiveness is the true driving force behind her achievements.

Although Perry has faced challenges in Twenty20 cricket in the past, she seems poised for success in the upcoming T20 World Cup on her home turf in February, carrying a formidable arsenal with three sixes under her belt.
