Warriors’ Steph Curry Guides Team to Victory Against Trail Blazers in Game 1

Golden State Warriors’ point guard, Steph Curry, played an essential role in the team’s win in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals by scoring an impressive 36 points, leading to a 116-94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

A noticeable absence during the game was the Warriors’ star player, Kevin Durant, who sat out his second consecutive game due to a calf injury sustained in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals. Alongside Curry, Klay Thompson contributed significantly with 26 points, and Draymond Green added 12 points to the team’s score. On the Blazers’ side, Damian Lillard led with 19 points but struggled with seven turnovers.

In pursuit of their third consecutive NBA championship, the Golden State Warriors are now just three wins away from securing their fifth consecutive NBA Finals appearance. The team aims to further solidify their lead against the Blazers in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, scheduled tonight in Oakland at 9 pm ET.
