John Lineker, a well-known UFC bantamweight fighter, is eager to get back in the octagon as soon as possible. Considering a move to the featherweight division to speed up the process, Lineker (31-8) had to withdraw from a fight against Cory Sandhagen at a recent UFC event due to a minor injury. Despite this setback, Lineker is determined to make his presence felt in the UFC.

“I’m prepared to fight in just a month,” Lineker stated. “I’m open to facing anyone, whether it’s at 135 or 145 pounds. I just want to fight. There seem to be limited opponents in the bantamweight division, so I’m willing to move up to 145 in the hope of finding a match.”

Having competed in only a few fights in recent years, Lineker, originally from Brazil and currently residing in South Florida, has faced financial challenges due to his lack of activity. “This is my livelihood. If I don’t fight, I don’t get paid,” Lineker emphasized. “I have a family to support, so I’m willing to fight at any weight class. I need to earn a living.”

Despite his reduced activity, Lineker continues to hold a solid ranking in the bantamweight division. The bantamweight category is currently in a state of flux following TJ Dillashaw’s loss to Henry Cejudo and Dillashaw’s subsequent plans for another fight, introducing new challenges and uncertainties to the division.
