The 25-year-old rider from Missouri, ranked 18th globally, was injured while trying to stay on a bull weighing over 1,700 pounds as part of the competition. The fatal incident occurred as he struggled to stay on for the required eight seconds.
An eyewitness reported to KCNC-TV that Lowe lost his grip, fell off the bull, and was then trampled when attempting to stand up. The CEO of Professional Bull Riders, Sean Gleason, expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the organization and the stock show, offering condolences to Lowe’s family.
