With the tennis season coming to a close, Novak Djokovic, the world’s number one tennis player, is turning his focus to supporting Red Star Belgrade.During the ATP Finals last month, Djokovic expressed his intention to cheer on Red Star Belgrade in their upcoming games and even hinted at taking a vacation post-game.
True to his word, Djokovic was spotted at the Crvena Zvezda Stadium on Tuesday night, watching Red Star Belgrade play against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Though Djokovic faced some backlash in Serbia, his homeland, for supporting Croatia in the World Cup, his dedication to Red Star Belgrade as a fan remains steadfast, even as the team suffered a 4-1 defeat and exited the competition.
The soccer match between Red Star Belgrade and Paris Saint-Germain saw PSG taking the lead with goals from Edinson Cavani and Neymar before Marko Gobeljic scored for Red Star Belgrade. However, Kylian Mbappe and Marquinhos sealed a dominant victory for PSG, ending the game decisively.
