Maycee Barber, Rising Star of UFC Aims to Break Records

Maycee Barber, UFC debutant now plans for a record run to the top

From a young age, Maycee Barber has been a standout talent. The new UFC sensation has already made history by becoming the youngest champion in UFC history at just 20 years old. When she stepped into the UFC octagon on Saturday, she had a specific goal in mind – to surpass Jon Jones. She set a timer on her phone that will stop on January 17, 2022, a day after Jon Jones became the youngest champion in UFC history.

Known as “The Future,” Maycee is determined to break Jon Jones’ record. Jones achieved gold at the age of 23 years and 242 days by defeating Shogun Rua at UFC 128. Maycee aims to achieve this feat by the age of 23 in the 115-pound weight class. At UFC Fight Night in Fort Collins, Colorado, Barber (5-0) faced off against Hannah Cifers (8-2) in pursuit of her goal.

Securing her spot in the UFC by defeating Jamie Colleen, Maycee now has three years to reach the top and make history. While her goal is ambitious, Maycee’s track record in the Octagon shows that she is up for the challenge and determined to prove her worth.
