Dana White has revealed to the UFC fans that Khabib Nurmagomedov is not going to leave the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The president of UFC, Dana White has told TMZ that he has seemingly worked out the things with the acclaimed fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov following his recent match with Conor McGregor unrolled a brawl into the arena.
White told one of the gossip sites that, “they are good with Khabib,” and he also said that “Khabib will be staying and things are going to work out between them.” Nurmagomedov has been quite open while criticized the organization and White. He also said in the interviews after the conclusion of the match that he views the promotion which is partly to be blamed for an inevitable ugly end to win over his fight with Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov also noted in post-fight interviews that Conor McGregor was granted to speak disrespectful and racist things in there, but he wasn’t punished.
Nurmagomedov threatened to quit the UFC after the organization decided to fire one of the teammates of Nurmagomedov, Zubaira Tukhugov because of his role in the melee. The UFC fighter allegedly lashed out on one of the social networking sites, Instagram as he felt that the speculation of firing Tukhugov is part of an unequal punishment.
“When McGregor’s team attacked the bus and injured several people, why didn’t you fire anyone? They might have killed someone there, why didn’t anyone say anything about insulting my country, religion, family?” Nurmagomedov wrote. “Why should you punish my team when both teams participate in the competition? If you say that I started, then I disagree, I finished what Conor started.”
He also added in the caption that if UFC has decided to fire Tukhugov, then he’ll leave the league as well. Everything feels very much uncertain, but White has confirmed that everything that happened during the brawl and after the fight is in the past.
