20-year-old Basketball player, Wayde Sims was gunned down in the most unfortunate circumstances right a fistfight which took place a few miles north of Louisiana State University school. Later, the young player died in a nearby hospital.
Wayne was allegedly attending a party with his friends close to the Southern University, and that is the reason why he was out late in the night time. A video has also been recovered which shows that six people were involved in the fight and Wayde had stepped in to defend a friend, in a few secs a gunshot was allegedly heard and the fight ended with Wayne falling to the ground.
As of now, the police has made an arrest, and the name of the suspect has been revealed – Dayton Simpson. The suspect has admitted to shooting down Wayde Sims during the first fight. According to the reports by MSN, Dayton is now facing a murder charge of the second degree.
The Cops also found the glasses of the murdered on the crime scene and his the murderer’s DNA which was found on the scene confirmed that Dayton had shot Sims. This simply means that if the suspect had denied about the crime which he committed in the court, it would have done no good to him as the evidence already points out that he’s shot the young Basketball player.
A makeshift memorial was arranged a few feet away from the murder scene. People had honoured the late player by some flowers and orange basket.
Sims was due to start practising with the LSU basketball team later around 2:30 pm. And due to the death of Sims, the practice has been cancelled.
Wayne Sims had a great basketball career. Ever since sixth-grade, Wayne had been dunking and he had also set the school’s best score record with 3045 points.
