Doug Baldwin makes a comeback to practice from knee injury

Receiver Doug Baldwin of Seattle Seahawks has finally come back to the practice after not being a part and missing out the practice since the last month due to a knee injury. Although he is expected to be all set by the Week 1, he said that the problem is something which will linger on and so he will have to manage somehow.

“I haven’t felt 100 per cent since I was born,” said Baldwin on Tuesday. “I’m probably about 80-85 per cent right now, and the truth of the matter is that it won’t be 100 per cent. It’s something I’ve got to deal with for the rest of the season.”

Baldwin said that he had first experienced the injury cropping up during the team activities in May. He was a part of the practice in the initial days of the training camp and then felt that something is not right. Baldwin then told the Seahawks to remove him from the practice with what the team coach Pete Carroll described to be as a sore knee.

Baldwin further explained on Tuesday that at the time, it was a time to do something which is more serious. Carroll has earlier said that the receiver had gone out of town to undergo treatment on his knee. However, he refused to detail out on whether the treatment he was for was the anti-inflammatory treatment Regenokine that numerous Seahawks players had been treated for in the last summer.

Baldwin, 29 has led the Seahawks in receiving in 5 out of 7 years in the league. He has hardly missed out on his third straight 1000 yard season in the year 2007 however he has still made his second career Pro Bowl as an injury replacement. Carroll said that the receiver would be playing for the Seahawks’ September 9 opener against the team Broncos held in Denver.
