Elon Musk’s Proposal for High-Speed Tunnel Pods to Dodger Stadium

Elon Musk plans on building high-speed tunnel pods till the Dodger Stadium

Los Angeles Dodgers fans could soon have a new transportation option to reach Dodger Stadium. Elon Musk’s Boring Company has proposed a 3.6-mile underground tunnel starting from Los Feliz or East Hollywood. The tunnel would transport fans to games and concerts at Dodger Stadium via high-speed pods in under 4 minutes.

The Dugout Loop project aims to reduce traffic in LA by providing a clean and efficient public transportation solution to Dodger Stadium. The company states that the project will be privately funded without any taxpayer dollars involved.

The transportation system will use pods with a seating capacity of 8-16 people. Passengers can purchase tickets in advance for approximately $1 each. Initially, the system will accommodate around 1400 passengers per event, which is about 2.5% of the stadium’s capacity.

Although referred to as a loop, the pods will only travel to the stadium before a game and return after it concludes. The pods will reach speeds of 125 to 150 mph.

The ‘Dugout Loop’ project is estimated to take around 14 months to complete, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to traffic, subway systems, and residents.

If realized, this project will significantly improve the experience for fans attending events at Dodger Stadium.
