LeSean McCoy, a prominent NFL player, is facing accusations of violently assaulting his former girlfriend. Disturbing images surfaced on social media showing McCoy’s ex-girlfriend, Delicia Cordon, with a bloodied face while she was hospitalized.
According to a statement from Cordon’s legal representation, the assault occurred around 3 am in her Georgia residence, which she used to share with McCoy. The couple is no longer together.
The statement, as reported by PEOPLE, detailed that Cordon was physically attacked by a male intruder who entered the home without forced entry signs.
Allegedly, the assailant demanded specific jewelry pieces from Cordon and resorted to violence when she couldn’t remove them, striking her with a pistol multiple times, along with her cousin who was also present.
Cordon suffered injuries to her face, head, and arms as a result of the brutal attack.
The distressing image of Cordon was initially shared on Instagram by her friend, Mia Michelle Boykin.
In the now-deleted post, Boykin expressed shock and condemnation, even alleging that McCoy had abused his pet dog and attempted to harm his son.
Despite these allegations, McCoy, the running back for the Buffalo Bills, has denied any wrongdoing.
This incident is not McCoy’s first brush with controversy, as he has previously been accused of assaulting off-duty police officers at a bar in the Philadelphia area, resulting in a lawsuit against him.
