Jay Ajayi reportedly gets sued for trashing a Los Angeles Mansion

Philadelphia Eagles’ running back Jay Ajayi is getting sued by a Los Angeles Mansion owner who claims that Ajayi, along with his friends trashed his home. The 24-year-old is being charged with a sum of $25,000 by the mansion’s owner for the damages he caused to the 6000 square foot house, where Ajayi and his friends partied hard for about five days, shortly after the Eagles won the Super Bowl.

Ajayi conducted at least three parties at the mansion with his friends, while he stayed at the house, although the owner of the mansion had particularly asked him not to have any parties.  According to the owner, Ajayi has broken a table, violated the no-smoking rule of the mansion, scratched the floors and did not pay a penalty fee of $5000 for every party.

According to TMZ, on February 18 when the owner asked Ajayi about the fees, Ajayi allegedly pushed him on his chest in a threatening manner. The owner further said that he had to call the local security to take help and move Ajayi out of the property. However, Ajayi’s representatives have denied such allegations, including the alleged damage to the property.

Ajayi was in Los Angeles to attend the ‘Jimmy Kennel Live’ show on February 5 along with his teammate Correy Clement, although it is not clear whether his appearance coincides with the dates on which the alleged incident took place.

Ajayi’s attitude is one of the major reasons why he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles from Miami in the third NFL season. In seven games, he ran for 408 yards for the Eagles and scored two touchdowns. In the team’s 41-33 Super Bowl win against the New England Patriots, Ajayi ran for 57 yards.

He will be entering his fourth year in NFL this season, which is the final year of his rookie contract.
