Rockets have a chance now to win over Warriors

Since the past one year, the Rockets have stayed obsessed with the Golden State. From Tuesday onwards, the Rockets now finally have the defending champs. Since the addition of Kevin Durant, the Warriors have faced three losses in 27 playoff games. And now, Houston will have to beat the Warriors four out of seven times to win in this year’s Western Conference Final, one which looks and feels like a superiors NBA championship.

While the rest of the league is conceding to the Warriors, Houston has been busy chasing them. Some others are waiting to put back the Warriors, but everything that the Rockets have to date done has proved to be negative for them.

Daryl Morey, general manager, did not make the Chris Pail blockbuster happen but also created a two-headed monster with James Harden. He chose Luc Mbah a Moute and P.J. Tucker to boost the defence of assistant coach Jeff Bzdelik. Despite Harden not being interested at that end of the court, they have surrounded him with four strong defenders and jumped to sixth in defensive efficiency from 18th.

Back on January 20, Houston achieved an NBA best with 65-17 and chucked the Warriors’ 14-game winning series.

Draymond Green, the Warriors’ forward, said, “That’s all fine and dandy, in January. But now they got us; we got them. Got to go out there and play. We’ll see who’s better. They’ve made it known that their team is built to beat us, kind of their obsession or whatever you want to call it. It is what it is.

The Warriors is possibly the best offensive team we have in the NBA history while the Rockets are the most desperate team the Warriors have faced till date since the time they included Durant.
