Kings made to fight from a hole without Doughty

The Kings are nearly got to fight without Drew Doughty on Friday. The playoff game which is said to be the longest game in the history ended with a 2-1 double-overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. The loss by the King’s this season now stands on two losses.

To replace Drew Doughty by the Kings is impossible and all the things he has done for them. He is the leader of the king and most talented and durable defenseman who have an offensive sparkplug. He is also the NHL’s ice-time leader in their regular season and Kings really miss him in their biggest game of this season.

Doughty is currently serving a one-game suspension on Friday which makes the league’s Department of Player Safety say that it is an illegal blow to the head of Las Vegas forward William Carrier. Kings do not leave with any choice and they had to bring their defense without him. According to the winger Dustin Brown he said before the game that, “He is the best defenseman in the world so you are not going to replace him with one player.”

They got the support from defensemen Alec Martinez, who played his carrier high 44 minutes and 51 seconds in the game and help in blocking about eight shots. Dion Phaneuf helps in six blocks in 33: 44.during the second sudden-death period, forward Trevor Lewis blocked about two shots even after losing his stick and got into pain.

On Vegas 56th shot at poised Jonathan Quick, Erik Haula slipped back the home 15:23 which goes to the second overtime. This helps the Golden Knights to sweep the first two games easily at Jubilant T-Mobile Arena.
The kings are not at their best in the game that day, but they could have done well in their depleted state.
