Larry Aaron of Marshall University football team died at 19

After a tragic incident of a gunshot, a Marshall University football player died on Thursday while undergoing treatment. The deceased name is Larry Aaron III (19) and he was a player of the Marshall University football team. He had been undergoing treatment for one month as the gunshot wound had made him paralyzed. Marshall redshirt freshmen defensive tackle Larry Aaron was announced dead at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Maryland. He was shot at a New Year’s Eve party organized on 1st January.

Doc Holiday, coach of Marshall on Thursday stated “Marshall University lost a very special young man today, and it has shocked and saddened us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Larry Aaron’s family and friends, many of whom were his fellow Thundering Herd teammates. His loss will be felt in every corner of our program and his spirit will never be forgotten.”

As per the report, Aaron was attending a party in Severn, Maryland with his girlfriend. During that party, a fight occurred which then led to gunfire. During the gunfire a bullet hit Aron. He was standing near a wall. But, later a surprising fact came to limelight. Sources informed that he had jumped in front of his girlfriend to protect her from the bullets.

Larry Aaron Jr, Father of Aaron stated “That’s just a testament to how Larry is. That’s his mindset, and his instincts took over. The first thing he thought of was to protect his girlfriend. That’s just how he is and the type of person he is.”

However, till now no arrests have been made yet. Anne Arundel County police spokesperson Marc Limansky stated that investigation is still going on. Talking about his past performance, Aaron made 13 tackles in eight games last season.
