Multiple women bring allegation of sexual harassment against Ex-Mavs president Terdema Ussery

Terdema Ussery, former Mavericks president, and CEO is now it big trouble as he is now facing an allegation of sexual harassments. As per the report, Ussery allegedly harassed several female employees for many years which helped to develop a culture of rife with misogyny and predatory sexual behaviour. The allegations against him came to the limelight on Tuesday. A source informed that he allegedly established several inappropriate remarks, sexual advances and even groped women.

One woman stated she felt defenceless as Ussery repeatedly harassed her sexually. She stated “I felt trapped, frozen, scared. This was the CEO of the organization….and it was clear he wasn’t going to get fired.”

Ussery worked 19 years as the Mavericks president and during that period he was able to freely hound and target women without any fear and started harassing them in every way. Some women stated that they had reported about his behaviour to the companies HR but, all went vain.  That time Paul Monroe was working with Mavs as Vice President of Marketing and he threatened a woman to fire her if she didn’t shut up.  More than six women stated that they left the office as they started feeling vulnerable and devalued.

On the other hand, Ussery denied all the allegation made against him and stated, “I am deeply disappointed that anonymous sources have made such outright false and inflammatory accusations against me.”

In 2015, he left the Mavericks to become the president of global sports categories at Under Armour. But, after just three months he resigned from the post. Well, the reason for his resignation is still unknown.

On Tuesday, the Mavericks informed that it will conduct an internal investigation on this and stated, “There is no room for such conduct in the Mavericks’ workplace—or any workplace.”
