Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has given some update on his injury rehab during Indianapolis town hall press conference. The team is now preparing for their upcoming match to write next story under the new coach Frank Reich. Luck is now confident as he will not need to go through a second surgery on his right shoulder and it has sailed. As per the report, Luck is now in California with mechanics doctors Tom House and Adam Dedeaux. It is now expected that Luck will be able to through in Colt’s minicamp practice without any restriction. Due to his injury, he has missed 28 of 48 games in the last three seasons.
He didn’t attend a town hall event held by the Colts but he did a pre-recorded video interview with Sports Illustrated’s Peter King. The video interview then aired for the audience.
Luck stated “Oh, surgery is not an option for me right now. I feel very, very good about where I am. So that ship has sailed in my mind, which is also a bit of a relief. I’m not going to lie.”
In the past 13 months, the Colts have undergone some changes as a new head coach, a new general manager, and new coaching staff. But, Luck’s health will play an important role in their success. On the other side, Luck has gone through many changes. In January 2017, he went through a surgery on his right shoulder. Then he missed all the team’s offseason workouts, training camp and then the entire season. Luck had spent around six weeks in the Netherlands for treatment.
Frank Reich, the new coach of Colts stated he is now expecting that Luck will soon return to the game and will join offseason workout in April.
