Russell Westbrook’s 37 helped the team to defeat 76er

One of the most anticipated matches was between 76ers-Thunder which was played on Sunday. The NBA fans have witnessed the storming performance of Russell Westbrook during the match. The team won the match over the Philadelphia 76ers by 122-112 points.  During the match one can easily see that Westbrook watched the clock drain, eyes blinking fast a tell that his blood is rising.

NBA’s fans didn’t get disappointed in round 2 as Westbrook and Joel Embiid ramped up a conflict. In the game, OKC’s Paul George tried to make a valorous attempt to take revenge on Westbrook’s behalf. At the end of the game, he said that he was trying to finish the game. But he failed to do so. Even though he failed, but he managed to step up to the free throw line which shows the gratitude of his teammate.

During the third quarter, the team Thunder tired their best to pull away and get some extra points. But the Sixers strung up and tied the game with 101-101 scores.

Coach Billy Donovan said, “I thought midway through the third quarter our energy changed, and I thought Russell had a lot to do with that.”

Westbrook led all scorers with 37 points. After the win, he was asked about the team’s high energy nature he said “After a little talk after Game 1, leading into this game, people were looking forward to it,” he replied, “but, you know: Oklahoma City, 2-0.”

During the first half of the match, Westbrook got 20 shots, but he only managed to hit Six shots. He was not able to maintain control over him. But since some past years, Westbrook has been improved his self-correcting and re-aligning his emotions. He has now the ability to control and take them properly. He was refocusing it to bring out the best from Paul George.

On the other side, Embiid took this to social media and wrote the team has suffered a hard loss.
