Isaiah Thomas Sits for the fourth quarter, but the team won

On Sunday the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons by 121-104 points. But the match was not good for Isaiah Thomas. He has recorded a season-high seven assists. However, he didn’t get chance to play the game in the fourth quarter as the Cavs outscored the Detroit Pistons 31-17 in the final frame to pull away with the victory.

He was found watching the game from the bench. When asked about the reason he said “I don’t know. What do you want me to say?” He further said that he is happy as the team won the game.

Thomas returned to the game in early January after seven and a half months recovering from a torn labrum in his hip.  During an interview before the match said that it wasn’t fair that the Cavs’ defensive woes were being viewed as his fault.  On Saturday it was also found that Thomas had a back-and-forth with a reporter about his shot selection. When asked about his gameplay style on Sunday, he sarcastically said that he changed his game style because that depends upon his shot selection. He said, “I try to make the right play, whether that’s getting a ball to a teammate or me scoring, and guys knocked down shots, so they helped me out today.”

Tyron Lue, the coach of Cavs, played Thomas throughout the third quarter. During that time, he only scored 1o of his 14 points which helped the Cavs to cornered more points against the Pistons. That time the scores were 32-26. It was the 10th game of Thomas in this season. Lue stated that he liked the playing style of Thomas alongside reserve players Jae Crowder, Jeff Green and Kyle Korver.

In the end, Thomas said “just getting my legs back. Getting my rhythm back. I will keep working.”
