Andy Dalton’s foundation receives over $170,000 donation from Bill Fans after Sunday’s game

Giddy Buffalo fans are now opening up their wallets and are donating to the Andy Dalton’s foundation as a token of their appreciation of thanking the Bengals quarterback for their long-awaited playoff glory.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Dalton’s foundation had received over 7000 donations, totaling it up to more than $170,000 since the time the Bengals beat the Ravens 31-27 in the Sunday game. Dalton threw a 52-yard touchdown pass on a 4th-and 12 situations with 44 seconds left to eliminate the Ravens.

The Bills got the final AFC wild-card berth and ended their 17-year postseason drought. Thus, the Bills fans are not sending in the donations to Dalton’s foundation. Dalton was very happy and surprised to get such a reaction from his fans.

Dalton said on Monday, “I think I’m the hottest guy in Buffalo right now. According to my Twitter, I think everybody loves us right now. Obviously, that’s a crazy fan base, and they’re all pretty excited.”

Dalton also posted a video on his Twitter handle on Tuesday where he expressed his gratitude and explained his foundation works and also encouraged more donations. Dalton created the foundation along with his wife shortly after the Bengals clinched him in 2011. Dalton’s charity foundation provides support, resources, opportunities and life-changing experiences for children with serious illnesses and disabilities.

Dalton told the media that most of the donations that the foundation got are for $17, ostensibly as his touchdown pass sent Buffalo to the playoffs for the first time in 17 years. This is not the only gesture the Bills made to thank the Bengals for beating Ravens. Shortly after the Sunday’s game, the Bills released a letter of appreciation thanking the Bengals and also announced that they would be sending them wings.

Notably, the Buffalo has a game scheduled on Sunday to play with the host Jaguars in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
