On Monday night, Jalen Brunson, the point guard for the New York Knicks, made a trip to Philadelphia to catch the football match between the Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons. While he was there, he took the opportunity to chat with another local sports icon.

Brunson and Jason Kelce Share Game Predictions

Brunson joined former Eagles center Jason Kelce on ESPN’s pregame show for Monday Night Football. They were asked to predict the outcome of the game, and both appeared confident in an Eagles victory. Kelce humorously pretended to root for the Falcons before declaring, “Birds by 50,” to which Brunson simply echoed, “Ditto.”

Brunson Claims NFL Is Easier than NBA

During a lighthearted exchange and while discussing the game, Kelce asked Brunson a thought-provoking question. He mentioned that this question has been coming up often lately: “Is it easier for an NBA player to transition to the NFL, or do you think it’s simpler for an NFL player to switch to the NBA?”

Brunson quickly asserted that an NBA player would find it easier to make the switch, but he was careful to acknowledge the challenge of playing professional football. He stated, “Not saying it’s easy. It’s easier,” and then playfully challenged Kelce by asking if he could defend a pick and roll.

Kelce humorously replied, “Hey I got this, I’m going right through the pick.”

Both athletes expressed mutual respect for each other’s skills and achievements in their respective sports.

Jason Kelce has dedicated 13 years to playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, while Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson played three years at Villanova under coach Jay Wright, where he was part of the national championship teams in 2016 and 2018.
