Yankees vs. Phillies Games Cancelled As Wildfires Cast Spooky Scene Over Yankee Stadium

The New York Yankees hosted the Chicago White Sox last night at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and the Sox would end up edging out New York for a 3-2 victory. However, the real story of the night was the scene going on above Yankee Stadium.

With wildfires burning out of control in Canada, the smoke of these fires could be seen, and smelled all throughout North America on Tuesday and some of the images that were captured looked like they came straight out of a movie.

Unfortunately, things have only gotten worst since last night’s game, as the smoke continued to make it’s way into American cities, causing the postponement of multiple games on Wednesday.

The league has announced that the game between the White Sox and Yankees has been postponed, along with the game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Detroit Lions at Philly’s Citizens Bank Park.

With the fires continuing to rage, this may not be the end of the postponements. And unless we get some rain in the upcoming forecast, this is an issue that could extend far beyond New York and Philadelphia.
