It’s been over two weeks since Aaron Rodgers announced his intentions to join the New York Jets on “The Pat McAfee Show.” However, the trade compensation has yet to be worked out, causing some Jets fans to grow anxious.

But Woody Johnson, the team’s owner, expressed optimism at the league meetings, stating that the Jets have a plan and are willing to stick with it in acquiring the future Hall of Famer. Johnson is hopeful that the Jets will eventually get the four-time league MVP.

The Jets had hoped that their 2021 NFL Draft No. 2 selection, Zach Wilson, would be their franchise quarterback, but they quickly grew impatient with him.

Rodgers had requested a trade from the Green Bay Packers two years ago, but they made amends in time for the 2021 season. However, after missing the postseason, it seems like Rodgers’ Week 18 home loss to the Detroit Lions was his final goodbye to the organization.

For now, Jets fans continue to anticipate confirmation of the Rodgers trade, hoping he will answer their quarterback woes.
