Former UFC fighter Greg Hardy is set to have his second professional boxing match against Hasim Rahman Jr. on Saturday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. This fight will be live-streamed on Dazn as part of the Misfits Boxing event.

Hardy, a former NFL defensive end, made his professional boxing debut in October and secured a second-round knockout against Mike Hook. After a mixed martial arts career in the UFC, where he had a record of 4-5 with one no-contest before being released earlier this year, Hardy is now transitioning to boxing.

Rahman Jr., with a professional boxing record of 12-1, will provide a tough challenge for Hardy. Rahman Jr. suffered his first career defeat against Kenzie Morrison in April, and he was slated to fight Jake Paul in August, but the bout was canceled due to weight-cutting issues.

Hardy’s move to MMA came after facing challenges rejoining an NFL team due to off-the-field issues. He has expressed interest in joining professional wrestling, mentioning both AEW and WWE as potential options for his future career path.

During his NFL career from 2010 to 2015, Hardy played for the Carolina Panthers and the Dallas Cowboys, accumulating impressive stats with 238 tackles, 40 sacks, and eight forced fumbles in 75 regular-season games. In his final NFL season with the Cowboys in 2015, Hardy played 12 games, recording 35 tackles, six sacks, and an interception.
