A Colombian first-division game took a controversial turn when a player resorted to extreme measures to distract his opponent.
During a match, Sante Fe defender Geisson Perera pulled down his shorts in an attempt to divert his opponent’s attention during a free-kick.
A video posted on Twitter shows Perera exposing himself on the field before the free-kick was taken.
While Perera may have intended to disrupt the free-kick, his actions were deemed inappropriate, especially in a stadium filled with spectators, including children.
Fans expressed their outrage online, calling for Perera to be punished for his behavior, labeling it embarrassing and unprofessional.
Despite the incident, Perera managed to avoid immediate consequences during the game. However, his team, Sante Fe, ended up losing 2-1 to the Jaguares, despite the failed distraction attempt.
