An ex-college football player tragically took his own life in a Las Vegas residence belonging to Floyd Mayweather. The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Jarrett Johnson, was a relative of Mayweather’s girlfriend Jamie Lynn, according to a report from TMZ Sports. Johnson, a former standout quarterback in high school, had versatile skills and played various positions during his college career with the Lindenwood Lions.
Mayweather and Johnson shared a close bond, with reports suggesting that Mayweather was deeply saddened by the heartbreaking incident. The discovery of Johnson’s body was made on August 22nd when a friend visited the condo and alerted the authorities. This devastating loss comes at a time when Johnson’s family was still grieving the loss of his brother Justice, who tragically passed away in 2019 at the age of 18.
The Lindenwood Football team expressed their condolences on Twitter, offering thoughts and prayers to Jarrett Johnson’s family during this challenging time. Mayweather has refrained from posting on social media following the incident, while Jamie Lynn has been associated with Mayweather since 2015.
As of now, Mayweather has not issued any public statements regarding this tragic event.
